My 15 Favorite Books I read in 2021: What You Should Read next

I am always on the lookout for great books to read, and I have found some really amazing books that were published in 2021. These are my favorite 15 titles of the year! I didn’t hit my reading goal for 2021, but I read many great books over the year.

I read a good mix of thrillers, romcoms and self help books. I like a good mix of topics in my book picks.

So, without further ado, these are my favorite books from 2021:

1 Rich as F*ck: More Money than You Know what to do With by Amanda Frances

This book is all about learning to uncover and deal with your money issues. We all have money blocks that prevent us from being truly successful and make money. I loved this book and learned a lot from it.

2 The Guncle by Steven Rowley

I’m so glad I heard about this book because it was such a fun and enjoyable read. If you are looking for a light book to read for pleasure give this book a try.

3 Untamed By Glennon Doyle

An incredibly powerful memoir and one of her best books yet. This book is so inspiring and really helps you feel impowered as a woman.

4 The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood

This is a story about Olive a PhD candidate who has to pretend to be in a relationship with Adam a hotshot professor who is kind of a jerk. Their pretend relationship leads to some real feelings in this delightful romantic comedy.

5 Isn’t it Bromantic by Lyssa Kay Adams

This is the latest book in one of my favorite book series. It’s the fourth Bromance book club book. This time it is Vlad the Russian trying to make things work with his wife of convivence Elena. This might be my favorite of the series though I’ve enjoyed them all.

6 The Newcomer by Mary Kay Andrews

A romantic suspense novel that follows a young woman who takes her young niece and flees to Florida after her sisters murder. She makes friends with the owner of a motel and her son the cop and things begin to get interesting from there!

7The Maidens by Alex Michaelides

I’m a fan of Alex Michaelides and his newest book was also really good. It’s a thriller that combines a slow burning page turner with Greek mythology in an interesting and exciting read.

8 Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid

This book is set in the 1980s and follows a group of siblings as they come of age and figure out who they want to be. While navigating their complicated relationship with their musician absentee father. It’s an enjoyable read with plenty of drama.

9 The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth

This thriller is a story about two sisters who have been a complicated relationship. When Rose finds she cannot get pregnant. Fern sees her opportunity to pay hersister back for everything shes done. She just needs to find a father for the baby. I couldn’t put this book down!

10 Local Woman Missing by Mary Kubica

This is a psychological thriller that will keep you guessing until the very end. I could not put it down!

11 The Soulmate Equation by Christina Lauren

I’m a big fan of the writing team Christina Lauren. This funny and heartfelt book explores what happens when two scientists get matched on a dating app that one of them created.

12 Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon

What a romantic book! It is about falling in love with someone who you think hates you, and it is so interesting. Two Radio co hosts have to pretend to be exes for a radio show even though they don’t like each other and have never dated.

13 Share your Stuff I’ll Go First by Laura Tremaine

This book is by Laura Tremaine who has a podcast I really enjoy. So I was excited when she had a book coming out. This book helps you think of questions to get to know yourself better and strengthen your friendships.

14 The Invisible Life of Addie Larue by VE Schwab

This is one of the most interesting books I read in 2021.  In the 1700s, Addie LaRue makes a deal with the devilâ€â€she will live forever, although her immortality comes with the curse of being forgotten by everyone. Addie moves through time and across continents; she learns to survive and even leave her mark on the world. Then one day she meets a man in a bookstore who remembers her name, and suddenly everything changes. 

15 Believe it by Jamie Kern Lima

Looking for a book to inspire you? This book by Jamie Kern Lima the founder of It Cosmetics will inspire you by the way she starts a company in her living room and grows it into a billion dollar empire.
